HOGAR SÍ

“Ending homelessness is not an ideal — it’s a collective duty we all share.”

HOGAR SÍ is a non-profit, independent organization founded in 1998 to end homelessness in Spain. For over 25 years, it has helped more than 10,000 people across 11 regions, focusing on housing solutions and defending human rights.

Since 2015, Alejandra Gere has been an official ambassador of HOGAR SÍ. As current members of Hogar Si Board of Trustees, Alejandra and Richard Gere are deeply involved in campaigns, political advocacy, and public actions to raise awareness about homelessness.

What We Do

Together with The Gere Foundation, HOGAR SÍ leads impactful initiatives such as:

They also advocate for systemic change through direct political engagement: visiting the Spanish Senate, Congress, and La Moncloa to push for new housing solutions.

Homelessness is not a personal choice; it’s a structural problem rooted in social, political, and economic factors. HOGAR SÍ believes that no one should live on the streets and that housing is a fundamental human right — not a privilege.

Over two decades of experience, political engagement at the highest levels, and a proven record of transforming lives — HOGAR SÍ, together with The Gere Foundation, continues to lead the fight to ensure that no one ends up homeless.

Before we can change what no one wants to see, we must first dare to look at it
