Our Programs

The Gere Foundation supports health, humanitarian, and educational initiatives around the world, with a special focus on the cultural preservation of Tibet and the Tibetan people—an enduring commitment of Mr. Richard Gere.

In addition, the foundation is dedicated to addressing homelessness, supporting refugees, defending the rights of indigenous peoples, protecting biodiversity, advancing health research and care, and promoting other humanitarian and sustainability causes.

The Gere Foundation is a private philanthropic organization that provides grant funding exclusively to selected non-profit organizations by invitation only. It does not accept unsolicited proposals, nor does it fund capital campaigns, individuals, films, or for-profit ventures.
